General Terms and Conditions of Business

1. Scope of applicability
All orders placed through our online shop are subject to the following GTCs.

2. The Parties and customer service
The purchase contract is concluded with alessandro International – should it be Zwilling JA Henckels (UK) Ltd.. You can contact our customer service department for questions or complaints using the contact form or at the e-mail address info@alessandro.co.uk. Any payment shown on your card statement will be to Zwilling JA Henckels (UK) Ltd. alessandro International is part of the Zwilling Beauty Group.

3. The conclusion of the contract
By uploading products into our online shop we are making a binding offer to conclude a contract on those products. The contract arises when you accept the offer concerning the goods contained in the shopping cart by clicking on the order button. Immediately after sending the order, you will receive another confirmation by e-mail.

For the contract to be concluded effectively, the ordering process must always be completed by sending the order.

4. Shipping costs
Shipping costs are payable in addition to the product prices specified. You can find more information on the amount of the shipping costs with the offers.

5. Payment
Payment is made by credit card or PayPal

Your credit card will be charged upon the completion of the order.
Paypal
You can pay the invoice amount through the online provider Paypal. As a rule, you have to be registered there or register there first, prove your identity with your access data and confirm the payment instruction to us (a possible exception could be guest access). You will receive further information in the ordering process.

6. PO Boxes
We do not deliver to PO Boxes.

7. Retention of ownership
The goods will remain our property until payment is made in full.

8. Damage in transit
If goods with obvious damage in transit are delivered, please report such defects to us within 24 hours. If you fail to submit a complaint or to contact us, this will have no consequences whatsoever for your statutory claims and the enforcement thereof, particularly your warranty rights. However, by doing so you will help us to assert our own claims with respect to the carrier and/or transit insurance company.

You can revoke your contractual declaration within 14 days without giving reasons in text form (e.g. letter, fax or e-mail) or, if the item is provided to you before the time limit has ended, also by sending the item back. The time limit begins the day after the customer receives the goods as per the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. For the time limit for cancellation to be deemed to have been met it is sufficient for the cancellation notice or the goods to be dispatched in good time. The cancellation notice should be sent to:

The consequences of cancellation
In the event of an effective cancellation, the performances received by both parties must be returned and any benefits derived (e.g. interest) must also be returned. To the extent that you cannot return or surrender the performances and benefits (e.g. benefits of use) that you have received or can only return them partially or in a deteriorated condition, you must provide us with compensation. You must provide compensation for the deterioration of the item and for benefits derived only if the benefits or the deterioration are attributable to handling of the item above and beyond inspection of its properties and functioning. "Inspection of the properties and functioning" should be understood to mean testing and trying out the respective goods as would be possible and customary in a shop. Items capable of being shipped as a parcel shall be sent back at our expense and risk. Items which are not capable of being shipped as a parcel will be collected from you. Obligations to reimburse payments must be fulfilled within 30 days. The time limit begins for you when you dispatch your declaration of cancellation or the goods and for us upon the receipt thereof.
End of the cancellation policy
The cancellation right does not exist with regard to distance contracts for the delivery of goods that have been made to customer specifications, have clearly been tailored to personal needs or that by their nature are not suitable for returning, could rapidly perish or whose expiry date has been exceeded.

10. Storing the text of the contract
We will store the text of the contract and send you the order details and our GTCs by e-mail. You can also view or download our GTCs at any time here on this site. You can view your past orders in our customer login.

11. The language of the contract
The language available for the conclusion of the contract is English.

12. Platform for Online Dispute Resolution of the European Commission
Under http://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr/ the European Commission provides for a link for the resolution of consumer disputes with regard to online sales, alessandro is neither willing nor obliged to take part in an online dispute resolution forum.
